This is Greater Galangal root powder, also known as Alpina Galangal. It's a common ingredient in Thai, Filipino, and Chinese food, especially in soups like Tom Kha Khai or curries. I really recommend it, it brings a nice hearty flavor that really goes well with savory dishes and meats. This is extremely Fresh product harvested within a few weeks of shipment and is only in stock seasonally.
